Guidelines
Guidelines for foreign degree-seeking applicants beginning April 2009 will be posted in June 2008. For your reference, the guidelines for last year were as follows:
Applicants are expected to have a strong desire to study at TJK College in both the Japanese and English languages. They should also meet the following conditions:
- To possess a nationality other than Japanese;
- To have or to be eligible for resident status as a student under the Immigration-Control and Refugee-Recognition Act of the Government of Japan;
- To reach the age of 18 before April 1 in the year of entry;
- To have demonstrated Level 1 Japanese language capability in a recognized examination;
- To have successfully finished or to be expected to finish 12 years of school education, including international schools, either in Japan or abroad by the end of March of the year of entry or to have received approval as a having equivalent status by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of the Japanese Government.
